Daniel Levy will sell Harry Kane this summer on one condition claims pundit

Former Liverpool defender turned BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson, has claimed that Daniel Levy would sell Harry Kane this summer if a big enough offer comes in.

Kane is arguably the most important player at Spurs at the moment, and the England striker is one reason why they are still a top side.

They have often struggled when he is out of the team and it is almost unthinkable that they would want to sell him, but Lawrenson feels it won’t be a new thing if Spurs sell him.

He claimed that he didn’t think Kane enjoys leading the Spurs attack at the moment as he doesn’t get to see many quality balls to feed on.

He added that the Lilywhites will have a lot of work to do to get near the top two next season, although with Kane in their team they will always carry a goal threat.

He then talked about Levy selling high-profile names like Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov before now and reckoned that Kane would be sold too if a good offer comes along.

“Spurs have got a lot of work to do if they want to get nearer the top two next season, but with Harry Kane in their side, they always carry a goal threat.” He wrote for the BBC.

“The worry there is that someone might come in for Kane and say to him ‘look, come and play for a team who try to win games’ because I don’t imagine playing up front for Spurs is too much fun at the moment – he is being fed off scraps.

“Plus, we have seen before with Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick that, if players want to leave and a big enough offer is received, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is willing to sell.”

That is definitely a valid opinion but it would have to be a stupendous offer for Levy to risk the wrath of the fans.
