A new twist in the Bryan Gil tale, Spurs are now in fresh talks as Marseille watches on

After less than a couple of months into his stint with Tottenham Hotspur, Bryan Gil went out on loan in January to Valencia, where he impressed but reportedly knows that he is not part of manager Antonio Conte’s plans for next season.

Gil has a market in Spain, and there’s a new club inquiring about landing the 21-year-old this summer. According to transfer window journalist Ekrem Konur, Real Sociedad is talking with Tottenham to sign Gil on a season-long loan deal.

The young forward wants to play in La Liga, the ideal place to develop and show the best football version of himself after displaying good qualities during his six-month stint with Valencia, where he reached the Copa del Rey final.

La Liga is a league that Gil is familiar with, and he has the confidence that his skill set with translate to success for his growth as a player. Furthermore, there’s no doubt he wants to be somewhere that will allow him to display his qualities to secure a spot on the Spain national team for the World Cup.

Outside of Spain, there’s interest from Olympique de Marseille, which pressures Tottenham to trust their club as the best possible development option for the young player. Nonetheless, Gil’s future remains up in the air.
