Will Christian Eriksen Replace Thomas Müller At Bayern Munich?

The Dane’s overall stats for Tottenham since joining us in 2013, span over 288 competitive matches, including 67 goals and some 87 assists.

It’s those numbers that are keeping the door open for a club to come in for Christian Eriksen next summer.

The 27-year-old’s abysmal form both domestic and foreign for Spurs has been examined and discussed enormously.

Now, after too many reheated links with a potential move to Real Madrid, comes this suggestion from Germany, namely that Bayern are in for Eriksen.

Bayern Board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge’s recent remark, quoted in this Sport1 piece, is of note.

“The question is whether they (Tottenham) can hold this top team together for a long time because next year a contract like Eriksen expires.”

Clearly this is a player that has been on Die Roten‘s mind for some time.

Despite Spurs fans tiring of the entire business, for the media this is now another six months of ammunition. It defies any logic that Christian would sign an extension, and remain in London.
