West Ham eager to beat Spurs to 20-year-old Serie A ace

Mikkel Damsgaard is the latest Danish talent that is turning heads in Europe and Spurs want to sign him.

The 20-year-old only joined Sampdoria a year ago, but his fine performance for them has attracted the attention of top teams around Europe.

He looks set to leave them in the summer if Spurs make their interest concrete, but landing him won’t be straightforward.

This is because La Republicca is claiming that West Ham is also keen on landing him.

The report says David Moyes’ side has also been monitoring him and they feel that he can add value to their team.

Southampton and Leeds are two other teams who are looking to sign him from the Premier League.

Tottenham has some of the finest wingers in England, however, the Lilywhites have struggled to get performances from others apart from Son Heung-min.

Damsgaard is currently playing on the left-wing for the Italian side, but he is also adept at playing in midfield.

Tottenham added some players to their squad in the last summer transfer window, but if they fail to achieve their goals, they will likely splash the cash yet again at the end of this season.
