Watch: Tottenham star Son Heung-min scores outrageous free-kick vs Costa Rica

Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur was the hero once again for South Korea as he rescued a draw against Costa Rica with a stunning free-kick right at the dying minutes of the game.

The 30-year-old captain captained his country in this afternoon’s friendly against their South American opponents, and after taking the lead in the first half through Hwang, they fell behind after Bennette scored either side of the half.

With only four minutes left in the game, Son stepped up to take a free kick on the edge of the penalty area and curled it beautifully into the top left-hand corner of the goal, leaving Alvarado rooted to the spot.

Last season’s Premier League top goalscorer, alongside Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, had endured a slow start to the new campaign before a hat-trick during Spurs’ 6-2 win over Leicester last weekend. And he continued his form over to the international friendlies with this outrageous free-kick.

Perhaps it’s time Conte takes Kane off free-kick duty and gives Son a chance.
