A great goal from one of Tottenham’s somewhat forgotten men last night as the Netherlands beat Norway by 2 goals to nil. The pass to Steven was horribly under-hit, but the 24-year-old unleashed a magnificent and memorable strike.
Bergwijn also made the assist for Barcelona’s Memphis Depay, and this victory secured the men in Orange the top spot in their World Cup Qualifying Group, G.
Certainly a convincing performance, but Bergwijn is likely to still face an uphill task to crack Antonio Conte’s starting XI.
