“Unbelievable” – Dejan Kulusevski has high praise for Harry Kane

This past January transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur added Dejan Kulusevski to help provide some scoring depth to the north London club lineup. The 21-year-old winger has been with Spurs for over a week, and he’s had rave reviews of his teammate, Harry Kane.

Kulusevski spoke with The London Evening Standard and provided his first impressions of the striker, calling what he sees from his new teammate unbelievable.

“[Kane] is unbelievable. Yes, up there. What impressed me was his technique, the way he stopped the ball, and the way he changed the whole pitch with his passes from both feet,” Kulusevski said.

“It is amazing really. And I know that when he has the ball I have to run because he will find me.”

The former Juventus forward also spoke about how manager Antonio Conte played a role in deciding to join Spurs. In addition, the Sweden international discussed how the training sessions and the demand that the Italian tactician demands from his players.

“I love suffering! That’s one thing about me, from when I was born. I love to work hard, and I’ve already seen how they work [at Spurs]. It’s incredible,” Kulusevski said.

“Even after the game, we had a crazy session. The training here is much more different from Italy — in a very good way. People are running faster; everything is faster to try to get us stronger.”

Kulusevski made his Tottenham debut over the weekend, playing 22 minutes and making two key passes in his short time against Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Spurs hope to get this type of consistent production from the young forward as they fight for a top-four spot.
