Transfer window plans for Tottenham take a hit following the exit of a club chief

The summer transfer window plans for Tottenham Hotspur might be getting off on the wrong foot. In what will be a crucial couple of months to build a squad that’s up to par with manager Antonio Conte’s standards, the north London club is seeing someone exit.

In a press release, Spurs confirmed that their head of recruitment Brian Carey, is leaving Tottenham months before the summer transfer window opens. The information given by the club reveals that the 53-year-old decided to go.

Carey’s departure comes less than 12 months after Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici was appointed to his position with the Premier League side, coming over from Juventus.

The north London club is reportedly looking to appoint a number two to Paratici ahead of a busy summer for the club. Carey’s departure comes after Steve Hitchen, the technical performance director who also quit Spurs in February.

Significant changes are coming behind the scene as Paratici begins putting people he wants in these critical positions.
