Tottenham wants defender nicknamed “monster” and at least one Tottenham player will love if he is signed

According to Titan Sports via Xinhuanet, talks are ongoing over a move that would see Tottenham sign South Korean international, Kim Min-Jae from Chinese Super League side, Beijing Guoan.

The 23-year-old is nicknamed “monster” because of his big frame and Muscular build.

He has been one of the most impressive players in the Chinese Super League for some time and several European teams have been looking to sign him.

He now looks set to make the step up to a European side and the report claims that Spurs are in a good position to land him.

Their effort is being helped by Son Heung-min presence in the Spurs squad with the winger’s influence ‘likely to prove pivotal’ the same report claims.

Son has been at Spurs since 2015 and he has become one of the club’s most important players.

The report further states that the likes of Porto, Lazio, Inter Milan and Southampton are also interested in signing the defender and he could be available for 15 million euros.

Tottenham faces a summer of uncertainty over the future of their defenders, with the likes of Jan Vertonghen and Juan Foyth likely to leave.

With an eye on winning a trophy next season, Mourinho would surely look to bolster his defence should he lose any or both defenders.
