Tottenham turn their attention to unemployed Premier League manager

Tottenham has turned their attention towards Nuno Espirito Santo as they search for their next manager.

The Portuguese boss recently left Wolves after leading them to the Premier League and establishing them in England’s top flight.

Spurs have appeared close to naming a permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho in recent weeks, but talks have broken down each time.

Antonio Conte and Paulo Fonseca are two managers who looked close to signing with them but negotiations with both candidates have come to an end.

TalkSPORT says the manager they are targeting now is Santo and Fabio Paratici is in favour of a move for the Portuguese.

The new sporting director wants to end their search for a new manager so that they can start working on transfer targets and he believes if Santo is given the right support he can thrive in the Tottenham hot seat.

Santo has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace and Everton in recent weeks, but none have made him a formal offer yet.

Hiring him as the next manager might not inspire confidence in the Tottenham players who are expecting their club to name a top manager with a good track record as their next boss.
