Tottenham target’s transfer fee could increase to €40m to because of Euro 2020

Tottenham should be prepared to pay as much as 40m euros for Mikkel Damsgaard if he continues to shine at Euro 2020.

The Sampdoria winger is one of the many players that Tottenham has been targeting to add to their squad.

They were watching him last season and now that Fabio Paratici has become their director of football, his move to London could be accelerated.

Football Italia says Spurs and Barcelona have been watching him in the European championships this summer in view of moving for him in this transfer window.

He scored a goal as Denmark beat Russia 4-1 in their last Euro 2020 group game and it was a beautiful strike.

While reminiscing on the effort, Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero claims that the attacker is worth 30m euros now, but it could rise to 40m euros even though they signed him for just 6.5m euros.

Speaking to Gazzetta Sampdoriana, he said: “Did you see that Damsgaard goal? I’ll tell you its fair price, today at least 30 million. But if he scores again he will reach 40…”

The report concludes that he has now indicated to the clubs that want to sign Damsgaard that it will not be a cheap operation.
