Tottenham readies replacement as Barcelona plots move for midfielder

Mundodeportivo says that Tottenham has made Marcel Sabitzer a summer target as they anticipate a move from Barcelona for Tanguy Ndombele.

The Frenchman has been one of Tottenham’s star performer this season and his form for them has attracted the attention of several top sides.

Barcelona will look to restructure their team after this season and Ndombele is one of the players that they are targeting.

Sabitzer has been one of the best players at RB Leipzig and he caught the attention of Tottenham in their Champions League match last season.

He scored twice against Spurs in the second leg of the round of 16 match and Jose Mourinho reportedly covets him (The Sun).

He is the German side’s captain and Tottenham is prepared to pay £45 million for his signature, according to the report.

Ndombele has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season and the Frenchman seems to have revived his career.

Sabitzer can play as a central midfielder and he would probably bring more goals to Tottenham than Ndombele has done so far and it will be interesting to see how this one develops.

He has three goals from nine Bundesliga games this season.
