Tottenham correspondent reckons Spurs will have another go at summer target

Milan Skriniar was one of Tottenham’s main transfer targets in the last transfer window as they looked to end this season with some silverware.

The club backed Jose Mourinho heavily in the summer and one of the players that he wanted to sign was Skriniar.

The Slovakian has been on the radar of the Special One since he was the manager of Manchester United and he was hoping to finally get his man in that window.

But Spurs couldn’t reach an agreement with Inter Milan over his transfer, and next month offers both teams the chance to try to strike a deal again.

Rob Guest was speaking on Football London’s Transfer News Show and he spoke about Tottenham’s interest in the defender, tipping them to make a return for him when the transfer window reopens.

He said that Tottenham might revisit their interest in him, but whether he signs for them or not will depend on if the price will be right for Daniel Levy to want to open the cheque book.

He said: “I think it could be something to look at in January to be honest to see what the situation is like, if he’s available for a decent amount of money and if Inter are willing to lower their price.”
