Spurs have made enquiries for another Eredivisie ace this time it’s Joël Veltman.
The 25 year old defender plays right back and occasionally centre back for Ajax. Veltman has been a one club player up until now.
It would make a whole lot of sense to ship in another experienced defender. We have four competitions to face (until we start throwing a few and concentrate on a top 4 four finish), and of course nobody ever mentions injuries.
Veltman wouldn’t be expensive. In fact, he’d be comparatively cheap, perhaps £12million?
Glad has mentioned before the existence of a good relationship between the two clubs , which I’m inclined to believe on the basis we haven’t heard it from Levy himself.
