‘They’re gonna be running people close,’ Pundit reckons Spurs can still make the top four

Rio Ferdinand has tipped Tottenham to make the top four if they can remain consistent.

The Lilywhites seem to finally be getting the form they need to achieve their top four goals after back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

They followed their 4-0 win over Burnley with a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham last night and they seem to be in good spirits at the moment.

This second half of the season is important for them, as it is to several top teams.

If they can continue their fine run of form and keep getting the wins no matter the score, they have the chance to earn that return to the top four.

Ferdinand says the performance really doesn’t count at the moment as long as they can keep getting the results that they need.

If the wins keep coming, he reckons that a return to the Champions League beckons.

‘It’s not about performances,’ said Ferdinand as quoted by Mail Sport

‘It’s about getting points on the board. They now have an achievable target of getting in the Champions League.’

‘If they can get some consistency, three points, three points, they’re gonna be running people close, when you’ve got the front four with that talent, Spurs are gonna be a threat against anybody.

‘They’re a team that have been kicked by pundits and the media because of inconsistency. Now they seem a team who’ve got momentum, looking above them saying “that’s not out of reach.” Imagine if they win the League Cup final as well.’
