Roberto Martinez features among the front runners for the Tottenham manager position

Roberto Martinez can become the next Tottenham manager after a new report claims that he would be open to a return to club management after the Euros.

The Belgium manager has had a spell in the Premier League with both Wigan Athletic and Everton.

He has enjoyed more success with the Belgian national team whom he has turned into a major football powerhouse in recent years.

They are now the number one team in the world, although he is still chasing silverware with them.

The Belgians will look to win the Euros later in the year and he might decide to return to club football after the competition.

Sun Sports says he is open to the idea and he has the backroom staff that would take preseason while he is still at the Euros if he is appointed Tottenham’s manager before the tournament ends.

Daniel Levy has made Ryan Mason the club’s interim manager until the end of this season, but he isn’t expected to stick with the inexperienced former midfielder beyond this campaign.

Martinez is well-respected around the world, but he doesn’t have a full trophy cabinet and has won just the FA Cup as a major trophy as a manager.
