Report: Tottenham, Man City & Man United among Premier League clubs eyeing £18M rated defender

Despite the addition of Ivan Perišić to the left wing-back position, it doesn’t appear as though Tottenham Hotspur is done strengthening that role on the squad.

The north London club could be in the market for a younger option to pair alongside the Croatia international. According to Jonas Hen Shrag, Tottenham Hotspur is among the Premier League clubs expressing interest in TSG Hoffenheim’s left-back David Raum.

Along with Spurs, Mancher City and Manchester United are the other clubs eyeing the 22-year-old this summer. Hen Shrag adds that The Red Devils recently made an inquiry, but he believes it was only an initial discussion.

Furthermore, there’s no information on the amount the German club could want for Raum, who is under contract until 2026, so Hoffenheim isn’t rushing to sell him. Transfermarkt puts the defender’s £18-million, which could be seen as a steal at that price.

This past season, Raum made 35 appearances, scoring three goals and recording 13 assists for the Bundesliga side.
