Report: Dele ‘Unfazed’ By Armed Robbers Who Evaded Personal Security Guard

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli is said to be coping with his home invasion reasonably well, according to The Telegraph.

Sam Wallace understands that the 24-year-old is “relatively unphased” by the ordeal in which two robbers, armed with knives, broke into his home, and stole a couple of top-dollar watches. Dele was also left with a minor facial injury after being punched by one of the masked men.

The incident comes only a couple of months after Jan Vertonghen’s family was held at knife point while the Belgian was out of the home, playing for Spurs against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

With more and more footballers being targetted in this manner, Dele had hired a personal security guard to try to negate this danger, but the two thieves managed to evade this contingency plan.

I hope Dele is as undaunted by this experience as Wallace’s report suggests because it would be enough to give anybody nightmares.
