BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand believes that Harry Kane is too old and too injury-prone to command a big transfer move to a bigger club, according to his quotes carried in the Mail Online. Ferdinand believes that Harry Kane to Manchester City is a ship that has sailed and that whilst the England captain obviously has a tonne of positives about him, there are concerns about the intermittent injuries and running in parallel with this is the player’s age. Whilst Mourinho spoke recently of Kane’s possibly longevity this is, of course, the best-case scenario – and £100 million or whatever is a substantial amount of money, even for a football club.
Judging by these comments in reply to Rio’s quotes, it looks like many Manchester City fans wouldn’t green -light a swoop for the 27-year-old.
