Kids Banned From Carabao Cup Final

It would be interesting to have the science behind many of the decisions made during the pandemic in the United Kingdom, and this year’s Carabao Cup Final throes up another possible anomaly; no under 18-year-olds are allowed into Wembley. If this has any substance to it, then why during the lockdowns have supermarkets, etc had kids wandering about in them?

The club’s website advises that fans attending are required to take a home test, plus a test from a state-approved facility which is presumably not just to prevent cheating, but to provide data when comparing test results.

Those fortunate enough to get in will sit one seat apart from the nest person, which is apparently in line with current guidelines.

Who will get in? Well, there are only 2,000 tickets available for Spurs fans, 2,000 for Manchester City fans, and another 4,000 split between NHS staff and residents of the borough of Brent.

One would guess that the use of facilities at Wembley will be in line with how all hospitality venues will operate.

Fair play to those prepared to get involved, my appetite for jumping through these hoops has long gone.
