Joe Hart shares goodbye message to Tottenham Hotspur supporters

Tottenham Hotspur recently completed the loan transfer for former Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini to compete with Hugo Lloris for the starting position in goal. The decision to bring in the Italy international meant that there was no room for veteran goalkeeper Joe Hart.

As a result, Hart had to find a new home for the 2021-22 season if he wanted to see any significant playing time. Celtic FC needing to help at the goalkeeping situation, the Scottish club swung a deal for Hart.

The Daily Mail reported that Celtic offered £1-million for Hart, who signed a three-year deal to become one of the latest reinforcement for the Glasgow-based side.

Hart took to Instagram as he shared a goodbye message despite only appearing in ten fixtures for the London-based club.

The veteran goalkeeper thanked the playing staff and the behind-the-scene members and ended his statement by claiming that he hopes Tottenham can end their long wait for a piece of silverware.

“Evening all. I just wanted to thank the players and supporters of Tottenham Hotspur for the last year I have spent at your club. I know I didn’t spend a lot of time out on the pitch, but I tried my best to push hard on the training ground and wear the badge with pride when I did get the opportunity,” Hart wrote.

“There are some really special people and players at the club … I hope you guys manage to achieve the goals and trophies that everybody associated with the badge craves. I assure you the hard work is going on behind the scenes. Best of luck.”
