Castagne Deal Fell Through Because Aurier Deal Fell Through|Chances of a striker look bleak

A stadium that was a game changer they said, world class training facilities, they said… up the flippin’ creek without a paddle! came the reply.

Timothy Castagane was a long time Tottenham target.

Good spot from Ian Tuckey in The Sun today, who has quotes from the young Belgian players’ father, the aptly named Castagne Senior.

“He (Timothy) conducted a video conference with Jose Mourinho but Tottenham had to sell Serge Aurier first. With a little more money, they could have made an offer like Leicester.”

If my interpretation of this tale is correct, then the chances of Spurs weighing in for a second striker are gone – unless we can shift Serge Aurier this week. However, had we sold Aurier, the then the money would have been reinvested in another right-back anyway…

The only antidote to this underwhelming business might be, that Tottenham are planning to sell or loan out more players to free up capital.

Danny Rose is going to be a tough sell, especially once the Amazon episodes are released this week.

Has anyone got a ha’porth of tar?
