Arsenal set to scupper Tottenham plans for Bundesliga man

Marcel Sabitzer has become a target of Tottenham in recent weeks, but Arsenal will not allow the Lilywhites to have a free run at signing him.

The Austrian scored against Tottenham in the Champions League last season, and his overall performance in the game against them impressed the club.

They have turned their attention to him as they look for a new attacking midfielder.

Reports earlier say that Spurs is exploring the possibility of signing him as soon as they can.

However, Julien Laurens told ESPN’s ‘The Gab & Juls Show’ via Mirror Football that Spurs are not the only English team looking to sign him.

He said that Arsenal is equally keen on landing him.

The Gunners have struggled with creativity this season after they sidelined Mesut Ozil from their squad.

This campaign is one that the Gunners expected to finish inside the top four, however, they have been struggling for goals in recent weeks.

Sabitzer has scored 3 times and provided an assist in 9 league games for RB Leipzig this season.

Leipzig is not keen on selling him next month, and their sporting director Markus Krosch has told Bild of their intention to keep him until the end of the season.
