Alasdair Gold outlines the conditions for Tottenham to sign another major target

Alasdair Gold has delivered an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Andrea Belotti as they continue to search for a new striker.

The Italian, who has been one of the best strikers in Europe since he moved to Torino, has emerged as a target for Tottenham.

Jose Mourinho wants to sign a striker and Belotti, who scored more than 20 times last season, is interesting the special one.

Gold was speaking on his YouTube channel recently and he claimed that the 26-year-old fits the profile of a striker that Spurs will want and that he also has the right mindset, but admitted that Spurs will have to spend big to land him.

He added that the Italians aren’t looking to sell him and that means Spurs will have to put some money down on any loan deal and guarantee to buy him after the loan term.

He said: “Andrea Belotti: 26-year-old, Torino captain, scored 22 goals last season. He ticks a lot of boxes, [fits] the mentality that Spurs want, he’s a captain. I do think with him, we’re talking big money, though.

“Torino don’t want to let him go whatsoever, and I think if Spurs are going to do that, they’re going to have to put some money down first for a loan, and then I reckon with a guarantee to buy at the end of, say, next season. But he’s another one they’re looking at.”
