Tottenham Hotspur transfer target is not keen on leaving Inter Milan this summer

Since the arrival of manager Antonio Conte to Tottenham Hotspur, the north London club has been linked to a couple of former players that the Italian tactician had during his time at Inter Milan.

One player is reportedly on his way as it’s only a matter of time before Ivan Perišić joins Spurs. However, the veteran winger isn’t the lone player Conte eyes from his former team. The Premier League side wants to scoop a defender on the Serie A club.

FC Inter News relayed the remarks made by Milan Skriniar, who along with Alessandro Bastoni, are linked to Tottenham to help them fill out their backline of three to go with Cristian Romero and Eric Dier.

“I have a contract with Inter, and I’m happy in Milan,” Skriniar said. “These rumors they come out punctually every year or every six months; there is nothing: I’m satisfied in Milan.”

“Last year we were Italian champions, this year we won the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup. We still have something to fight for, so we have set goals. I think next season we will be competitive on all fronts.”

Bastoni is reportedly the No. 1 target for Tottenham, but it seems as though if Skriniar is their guy going into this summer, then Spurs will pursue him. Nonetheless, expect Conte and the front office to push heavy for one of those two players.
