The Coronavirus may have kept football fans out of the grounds, but the sharp, if blunt wit remains. One innovation of the Project Restart has been to beam fans into studios in some vague attempt to keep the connection between the games and the supporters alive.
This particular incident is bound not to go down well, and one can only hope that NUFC don’t loose the run of themselves and ban the lad.
Savage is a well-known figure of fun amongst fans of all clubs and I would be staggered if he didn’t find it funny. BT are unlikely to be as amused.
