I Don’t Think We’re Going To Win This Particular Pot

For all the cries of unbeaten! we’ve not won a game since the 2nd of October.

Liverpool by stark contrast can’t stop winning.

Leicester City were thumped 4-1, Chelsea were beaten at the Bridge 1-2, Derby County lost 3-0, Hull City walloped 5-1; both Swansea City and West Brom lost 2-1 at the hands of Klopp’s boys.

Since the end of August, only us and Manchester United have secured draws against them.

Klopp has already announced that he’ll play Simon Mignolet in goal on Tuesday night, over the now first choice keeper, Loris Karius.

The vibe I’m picking up from Pochettino is that the kitchen sink is unlikely to be hurled at the Scousers.

Right now, this clearly isn’t a competition that Spurs need, that something has to give.

Liverpool tomorrow, then Leicester City at home on Saturday and then Bayer at Wembley, next Tuesday. It’s enough to make the head of a man acting beyond his pay-grade’s head spin.

I’m a wretched piece of work, and it’s my wretched belief that Spurs ought to try and win things.

I don’t think we’re going to win this particular pot.
