“You’ve got some balls, my friend” Pundit defends Mourinho for having the bottle to call out Klopp

Jose Mourinho was unhappy about Jurgen Klopp’s touchline antics when Tottenham was beaten 2-1 by Liverpool last night and the Special One made that known.

“By the way, if I behave on the touchline the same way on the touchline like he does, I have no chance to stay there. I am out one minute after,” he said as reported by the BBC.

He has been criticised for that with some people saying that he wasn’t showing good sportsmanship by making such a comment.

He has, however, been defended by TalkSPORT’s Simon Jordan who believes that the Portuguese manager is unfairly treated by the media while Jurgen Klopp gets away with so much more.

Jordan also defended Mourinho for saying his team were the better side on the night and said that the way the media twists Mourinho’s comments shows that there is clearly an agenda against the former Chelsea manager.

“I do think there’s an agenda,” he told talkSPORT host Jim White, who did not agree one bit.

“Why? Because Jose Mourinho had the audacity to say, ‘I’m the Special One’, and then prove it!

“When you’re watching some demented jack-in-the-box Klopp doing everything he can to influence the fourth officials, and you’re getting a bit irritated by it…

“If Mourinho was jumping up and down on the touchline doing the histrionics that Klopp was, the media would be going *BANG* look at Mourinho.

“But Klopp? Because he’s got a $64million smile and everyone likes him, he gets away with it.

“Mourinho’s character divides opinion. He is a unique product of a game that often lacks authenticity and lacks characters.

“At the end of the game when your emotions are most prevalent, he just turned around and made a comment towards Klopp.

“And he then had the courage of his convictions that, when asked, he had the honesty to say ‘this is what I said’.

“You’ve got to admire that. You’ve got to say, ‘whether you like it or don’t, whether you agree with it or not, ‘you’ve got some balls, my friend’.

“When someone asks a question, he gives them an answer – isn’t that what we want?”

Spurs loss to the Reds means that they have fallen three points behind last night’s opponents, but the season is just starting and there is a long way to go.

What they have to do now is pick themselves up and go for the win in their next league game against Leicester City at the weekend.
