“You forget about the table, you forget about the form” Lloris sends out a clear statement of intent

Hugo Lloris has called on Tottenham to return to form when they visit Arsenal for the North London derby today.

The Lilywhites will face Arsenal having lost their last two league matches even though they started the campaign with three consecutive wins.

While they suffered a slump in form, Arsenal has recovered from losing their first three league matches to win their last two.

Tottenham eliminated Wolves from the Carabao Cup in their last competitive game, although they needed penalties.

They will hope that win can inspire them to earn the three points when they face Arsenal at the Emirates later today.

However, the Gunners have a fine record against the Frenchman who has never won at the Emirates.

Lloris has also never kept a clean sheet in the nine league matches he has featured for Spurs in the stadium.

Despite his record, he says they need to win today and says the table position and form of both teams doesn’t matter.

Lloris said via The Daily Mail: ‘It’s true I’m still looking for a league win but it doesn’t matter. Both clubs are still looking for a certain consistency in terms of results, in terms of performance but a derby is a derby. You forget about the table, you forget about the form. We need to win this.’
