James Maddison’s move to Tottenham in the summer has proven to be one of the most astute signings in the Premier League.

“We obviously spoke about how I would fit into the way he plays and my style of play and what position and all that sort of detailed stuff.”
“But he at the end of it said, ‘Well, really good to talk, but James, whether you decide to come or not, you are going to see a completely different Tottenham team’.”
“And I was just like, I just loved the confidence that he said that with that you can come and be a part of it or like you can go somewhere else and things are still going to change Tottenham anyway.”
“And I kind of just left that bit my mind, where I thought…yeah…I want to go and work for this guy.”
