Yonhap News Korea: Sonny Will Play In Newcastle Clash

By The Boy -

Over the last 24hrs, there has been much chitter-chatter on social media about a rumoured outbreak of Covid-19 at Tottenham, where two players, in particular, were named by fans as being ruled out for this afternoon’s game against Newcastle United.

The pair said to have tested positive for the virus were Heung Son-Min and Bryan Gil.

In a refreshing twist, a local source familiar with the situation told Yonhap News last night, “Tonight, I was contacted by the agent saying, ‘Son has tested negative and will play against Newcastle tomorrow.”

Tottenham Hotspur has yet to make a statement, which in itself speaks volumes. Perhaps it might be an idea for social media accounts to be sure of their information before going all out to be the first, and use the ever irritating phrase ‘I am hearing’…

The only information that counts is the final score, and it would be helpful in future if the desire to shout was tempered by a willingness to wait and see. Disinformation is not our friend.
