World-class winger linked with a move to Tottenham has been asked to train alone by club amid uncertain future

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur have shortlisted several wingers for a potential summer move, with Juventus’ Federico Chiesa emerging as a prime target.

Spurs are reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation of the Italian international, who is currently training alone.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chiesa returned to training after a delayed summer break due to his involvement in the Euros.

However, he is not with the Juventus squad and is instead training separately, highlighting the unresolved nature of his situation.

It is claimed that the club has allowed him to use this time to evaluate his options elsewhere as he is not said to be part of Thiago Motta’s plans.

Chiesa, labelled as ‘world-class‘ by Alessandro Pierini, is in the final year of his contract, set to expire next June, increasing the urgency for Juventus to determine his future.

Last season, despite minor injuries, Chiesa made a significant impact in Serie A, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 33 appearances.

His impressive performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, including Spurs.

His credentials make him a highly appealing prospect for Tottenham as they seek to add world-class talent to their squad.

Chiesa’s current market value is estimated at €35 million, but due to his contract situation, he might be available for a lower fee.

Juventus are eager to resolve his future this summer, potentially enabling Spurs to secure a bargain deal.
