‘working on a deal’, ‘in advanced talks’ – Spurs to raid Premier League club once again

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham are set to raid Aston Villa once again with eyes on their recruitment chief.

Earlier this month they appointed a new sporting director Johan Lange who left Aston Villa to join them. He will be responsible for recruitment, analytics and talent identification across the senior and academy teams.

Spurs are now looking to sign Villa’s recruitment chief Rob MacKenzie and are already in ‘advanced talks’ to lure him.

That’s according to Football Insider who report that the league leaders are ‘working on a deal’ to bring back the MacKenzie to the club.

Johan Lange will start his role as the sporting director from the first of November and Spurs want to reunite him with MacKenzie.

The changes since the summer have all been very positive. The appointment of Ange Postecoglou has been a brilliant decision who has come in and instantly changed the mood at the club.

And all of these point towards a positive change at the club. It has also been previously suggested that Levy will be stepping back from getting involved in footballing matters and will let the new personnels flourish at their roles.

With the club top of the league and yet to be beaten, everything seems to be going in the right direction. Tottenham fans can be excited about their future.
