‘will not wait for him forever’ – Daniel Levy sets January deadline for Tottenham man to sign a new contract

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has stated that he will not wait indefinitely for Antonio Conte to sign a new contract with the club.

According to Tuttosport, Tottenham has set a January deadline for the Italian to make a decision on his future.

Conte’s current contract is set to expire in the summer, with an option for another season, and while Spurs are keen to extend his stay in London beyond that point, he has yet to commit to a new contract. This has fueled speculation about his future, especially with Juventus struggling under Massimiliano Allegri.

Tuttosport has now stated that Conte has “not made clear” whether he’s willing to stay at Spurs for another season. According to the report, Conte is not in a rush to extend his contract and “continues to postpone” any talk of a renewal, “taking his time” making a decision while continuing to observe the developments in Europe, particularly Italy.

A return to Juventus was once considered ‘unthinkable,’ but it seems that everything is falling in place for a stunning return to the Serie A club, and he may be tempted.

But Levy seems to be getting impatient now and has reportedly set a ‘January deadline’ for Conte to come to a decision. If he does not sign an extension by then, the club will start looking for replacement options with the likes of Brendan Rodgers, Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino all possible options.
