Will it be all down hill now, for Ange Postecoglou?

Ange Postecoglou faces his biggest game this week in English football because if he is to win something, the Europa League is the last competition his side are still competing in. As far as the Premier League is concerned, Ange is now facing a mountain to climb. Yes, he has players returning daily, but is he able to get much out of them? As per the Bournemouth game, Cuti Romero looked as if he had literally just walked straight out of the physio room, without doing any stretches. Ange needs quick fixes if he is to mount a meaningful challenge on the 12 sides currently above him.

Tickets to games at home and away are available, which is another element Tottenham fans need to factor into their thoughts. Never has buying a ticket from Spurs been so complicated. This may be ideal for devotees who have sufficient amounts of spare time to devote to all the applications, and the continual cost of keeping the right subscriptions running. These days, the secondary marketplace is a responsible and very affordable place for fans wanting to enjoy a special occasion, without all the fuss.

Ange has an interesting run of games coming up, which are likely to tempt fans through the electronic turnstiles at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. On the 21st of April, Nottingham Forest, who have been enjoying a fabulous season under Nuno Espírito Santo. Forrest are currently in third place, some 17 points ahead of Spurs, and one sense that both coaches would be keen to fight this one out to the death.

In May, we travel to the London Stadium for the ‘East End cup final’, where the Hammers, currently below us in 16th place, will be puffing their chests out, trying to convince themselves that they are still a relevant operation. The atmosphere at this game is always electric and unrecognizably safer than it used to be, many decades ago.

Of course, should we continue in Europe, tickets for Europa League games will be in huge demand, as Spurs start playing the cream of that competition.

The last game of the season will be a memorable one, not just because the club always put on a show for the closing game, but because the decision on Postecoglou’s future will have been made, and the spectacle that’s always a smash hit with fans of all ages will be the perfect end to the season, win, lose or draw.
