Will Fulham Be The Foregone Conclusion It Looks To Be?

By The Boy -

Tottenham Hotspur host Fulham in match-day 16 of the Premier League on Wednesday 13th January, 8:15pm at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The hosts currently sit in 5th place in the table having beaten Leeds United 3-0 last time out, while the visitors are in 18th after their 0-0 draw against Southampton.

If we take a glance at the form guide between these two fine Premier League sides, it’s incredibly tough to pass a cigarette paper between the two. Could Tottenham’s league position be a false factor? Between these two over the last 5 games, there exists just a single point. That’s a fact!

My betting tip is Both Teams To Score, plus José’s boys to hammer home a memorable win. Hence, my tough starting XI pick, previously. Spurs historically have compelling form against this lot. We’ve won 10 of our last 11 fixtures against them. Oh, and if historic stats are your thang, only Arsenal’s Thierry Henry has scored more London derby goals against our visitors today.

You could write the script. The only part of the script that didn’t come true tonight was Fulham scoring the winner from their injury time corner. What the actual f*ck is going on here? Constantly, against ‘lower’ opposition, we get a goal, continue to play in 3rd gear with no urgency, concede an equalizer, panic, and then run around like headless chickens, hoofing balls up the pitch at nobody in particular, in that order.
Reguillon brilliant, every other player, not good enough. Gaffer, not good enough.

Completely agree more boring rubbish football from someone who is supposed to know more and be better than most. We are paying 15m a year for this utter trash excuse for football. Had he have been more aggressive against these teams we would be top. As it is the way we are playing and going the gooners will catch us. Pure gold rubbish

1-0 in this league is never enough and today is another example of giving up 3 pts because Jose was not attacking enough. Yes Kane and Son fluffed a few chances but having 3 CM against Fulham at home is no where near attacking enough.

The games are coming thick and fast, Utd and City grinding out 1 nil wins. I’ll take a 1 nil win thank you very much

Well he’s gone with Hojberg, Winks and Sissoko in the middle of the park. 3 CM against Fulham! Would have loved to see Dele instead of Sissoko in there, espcecially after his game against Marine. Give the boy some more playing time and build his confidence again Jose! COYS!

Feeling the points are already in the bag is usually a warning signal. Another London club that would love to trip us up.

No such thing as “forgone conclusion” if we continue to try and defend 1-0 leads for 89mins with our current bank line (or any back line for that matter). Fulham will not attack us, they won’t open up and come at us, we will need to play with the ball. I can’t see them having 60%+ possession… This will be a real test.
