Watching Spurs play Manchester United last night left me exhausted and irritable.
There was the time delay business courtesy of Amazon (there has to be a joke about a parcel being left with a neighbour in there somewhere) on my TV. And online, some Tottenham fans appeared to be almost relieved that they finally had the chance to lay into the new Spurs boss. Sure he’s won 3 games, but he’s just lost his fourth and so the gloves were now off!
One caller actually rang into talkSPORT wanting Jose Mourinho sacked.
The former Spurs man was quite rightly staggered by the suggestion.

One game 🙈 i wonder if that guy phoning was eddie howe… No manager should be sacked without at least one summer transfer window to bring in a few of their own players.. Inheriting the previous managers failed team, how can anyone judge the next without any change whatsoever. . Its crazy managers are sacked so quick these days. Watford are so trigger happy its shocking
Consistently achieving top four reinforces the feeling with Levy that our squad is good enough, and we don’t need to strengthen. Finishing mid-table might actually be a blessing in that regard – not to mention well documented egg on his face.
Heard the call in question. Plus a couple of supporters calling in to bash Levy/ENIC and predictably being shut down by the hosts.
Paul Hawksbee was on the Spurs Show podcast this week digging Levy out for Poch’s downfall though.
Jose needs time like any manager, but he also needs players and money to do that and that is where levy comes into it. I’m giving him till the start of Feb to really judge him ,if we don’t come top 4 I would rather come 10th and then levy will have to pull his finger out and we have no distraction of europa etc.
