What Spurs’ Opening Bid Could Mean

By The Boy -

French outlet L’Equipe (amongst many) are running with Tottenham having made a significant bid for Tanguy Ndombele.

As per yesterday’s blog, the 22 year old will not come cheap.

Calcio Mercato have also reported Tottenham are in the mix to sign Ndombele.

This is precisely the type of player Pochettino needs to fix his Mousa Dembele-less midfield.

A robust character with stamina, a strong positional sense, and creative flair, all in spades.

What won’t be acceptable here is for ‘a bid’ to go in, only for the story to then degenerate into yet another ‘we tried, ah, but to no avail…’ nonsense.

Mauricio has spoken about his next chapter at Spurs, not about repeating his last two chapters again.

It’s important to note to here that NDombele has yet to win any major honours, Spurs are perfectly placed to embrace his ambition. Who knows, by the time he signed, he could be joining what is officially the very best side in Europe.
