Wembley Stadium is guaranteed to make a lasting impression

By The Boy -

The Carabao Cup remains, despite the understandable devaluation of the tournament, thanks to all the money poured into the significantly bigger European competitions, enormously popular with football fans. Tickets for domestic cup games remain affordable, and you can find yours with ease.

Fans like the prospect of winning silverware, as for most of them, it’s virtually impossible in their day-to-day existence. Equally, competitions such as the Carabao Cup bring in that extra thrill whereby even if your side doesn’t progress all that far, there’s a distinct chance of making good gate money, as well as perhaps even finding themselves up against a box office side from a higher division, maybe even a Premier League side.

The round one draw isn’t all that far away now, and it will take place from 11.30 am on Thursday, June 27.  This draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News and will see 70 clubs across the Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two enter the competition. Burnley, Luton and the 13 Premier League clubs not participating in Europe will begin in round two, with the remaining seven top-flight sides joining in round three. This competition is regionalised in the early rounds with the draw split into a southern and northern section until Round Three. First-round ties are scheduled to be played in the week commencing August 12. So the action is literally, just around the corner.

A visit to Wembley Stadium has got to be one for any football fan’s bucket list, as it is quite deservedly the home of English Football. Accessing the stadium could not be easier these days. Wembley Park Station is just two stops from Baker Street using the London Underground’s Metropolitan Line, which is also served by the Jubilee Line for even greater connectivity across the Underground network.

Wembley Stadium Station is one stop from London Marylebone on Chiltern Railways, and Wembley Central Station is on the London Underground Bakerloo line and London Overground line from Watford Junction to London Euston and so, these days, getting to this historic venue is far easier than it once used to be.

All in all, a trip to Wembley to watch any Cup final is precisely what one might imagine, an opportunity to watch your side, play at an unprecedented level, for honours, in a setting that most supporters, to be frank, don’t get to experience. A trip to Wembley Stadium is guaranteed to make a lasting impression on all lucky enough and provides football fans with what is, a superior matchday experience.
