“Weak” “Snakes” “Wasters” Fan Backlash Just Hit A New Level Of Ugly With Many Fans

By The Boy -

It’s difficult to know where precisely all this bitterness and anger might lead. Having been watching Spurs for 40 years god help me, this is the nastiest it has got. I accept that the Internet has aided the venom, and it would not be unfair to suggest that people who have been subjected to prolonged periods of lockdown have been becoming tetchy.

Reports have been doing the rounds that some – as yet unnamed – Tottenham players decided that José being fired was a reason for celebrating – curiously these players were in the gym when this occurred. I take a view that it may not be difficult to identify these players.

These are the essentially same mob of players that whined and bleated Pochettino wasn’t their cup of tea either, so I take a view that all these hurty feelings would be more tolerable if these so-called professional footballers could bother themselves to win something once in a while – and I’m not talking about the odd game.

A fanbase shouldn’t feel like this. So well done boys. A real achievement.

With the greatest respect those tossers have been running rudderless for months. In all honesty I don’t think our ,very small, chances of winning have been diminished by Jose’s dismissal. Our last three away performances have been a shambles saved only by the performance of one man Harry Kane.
The game at Everton last week was a fitting epitaph to his time at Spurs where we played a back five plus two holding midfielders against Everton

Tanguy on 200k a week cant even last 1 game a week…I just dont see how if the team who beat Southampton play Citeh, how we wont be 3 or 4 down by half time. We all know lo no show, bale & tanguy dont have 90 mins in their legs…they’ll all be gassed by 60 minutes. Only hope we have is Citeh going down to 10 in first 10-15 minutes…

Jose didnt want Bale, and wanted to sell Alli….two players the media are obsessed with, not part of the managers plans whose moves Levy wouldnt sanction. How is any manager supposed to operate in those conditions?

In what way did we get lucky in the end? Or are you just saying we got lucky to prove a point? The second half was excellent. We were very unlucky with the first VAR. The second VAR simply overturned the wrong decision that came after 2 hand balls.

kdb and salah are better players than anyone on your list, joe Cole?
It was special once perhaps but no so in recent years hence the joy at both Chelsea and Man Utd, 360 million later, when they dumped him

Its not really all about perspective though is it. We didn’t turn up at all first half. We got lucky in the end… Encouraging them to press higher and move quicker, if it was as simple as that we’ll soon be ruling the football world with such a genius thinking manager in charge..

My apologies gents, I was thinking of Barca the next year… I know they won it but there were talks of a crisis there at that time, they were well off the pace in the league. Bale wasn’t playing and wanted out, the crowd were jeering them, and there were talks that Ronaldo was restless and wanted out.

Not bad, but they were young and undeveloped, not the players we know today.. They didn’t ‘fit’ because of world class players like Lampard, Makalele, Ballack, Essien, Robben, Joe Cole.. Naturally Maureen wanted them to go out on loan to develop.. Wolfsberg and a diminishing Roma was about right. They chose permanent deals, these scenarios happen.. People pull the Kev and Mo card as if its proof Maureen is a poor manager. Well look at his team and titles he clearly made the right choices.

It is a massive mistake because it won’t change anything. The next manager will have the same problem. I think we are stuffed. I see no light at the end of the tunnel. Kane and Son should leave and I will wish them well. There is nothing for them here. If we come good next season then fine, I’m wrong. But I expect a load more rubbish.

It doesn’t quite add up. Why give bonuses if he doesn’t want targets to be hit. And Maureen is still getting paid for another year and a half, or until he takes his next job. Same deal as Botchy I read somewhere.

The massive mistake was employing him in the first place.
Before he left we were 18th in the current form table ,hadn’t beaten a team in the top half in the last ten games, and had conceded 20 points from winning positions.

That was a Madrid team who were already through as 1st, with nothing to play for, and were actually in crisis.. Girona had beat them 1-0 the previous game for the first time ever if I remember right, also another poor team had recently beat them.. Sissoko also played in that Madrid game. It’s time for him to move on too.. They aren’t good enough if we want to mix with the best… Grealish, ward prowse, Phil Foden, Mason Mount are all excellent players.. Winksy is a step down for sure.

I’m not sure what the man does realise.. I’m dreading the final now. It’s a huge problem that these tossers are running rudderless… Kane and Bale etc are going to listen to and learn from Mason are they? The lad isn’t sleeping and learning off his laptop. So the players are running themselves really. All Mason kept saying and shouting against saints was push up and high press, same as Maureen was doing in his previous games. Then told them to time waste in extra time. Run to the corner flag he instructed.. But there was 6 mins to play still, so we were dispossessed quick giving them a chance. Not much savvy for pro footballers, nor a manager.

And you claim that I’m obsessed with Botch 🤦‍♀️ I just end up replying because you won’t shut up about him.. Sick of hearing you praise the loser.. He left years ago when we were 14th.. Botch inherited a far better team. He had the best defence in the league, the golden boot boy in his prime, and failed in spectacular fashion.. Leicester won the league, stoke, brum and wigan won cups.. Woolwich who you keep saying are really bad managed to win 5 fa cups in Botchys time… He won nothing, not even a wooden spoon..

IMO like the majority of our team Winks is at best an average midfielder when being neat and tidy without much else in your locker in terms of defence splitting passes plus his failure to chip in with an acceptable tally of goals is simply not good enough!!

No, it was massive mistake to sack the manager before Jose. If he’d have been backed then I would have expected much of the same as his four seasons in charge. Good proactive attacking football and Champions League participation every year. And that my friend, would do for me right now!

With the exception of the clown act that Dele has become, who else in our squad has been falling out of nightclubs and promoting personalised emoji ranges?

I know that his off pitch persona and behaviour typifies all we dislike about this particular generation of pampered player but I don’t believe he’s the norm in our squad. He’s a very handy example to hold up when one wants to blame everything on flowflakery though.

All teams have their exemplary examples of quality allied with commitment within their squads, almost all teams don’t have squads with them comprising much of the squad. If they ever did, it’s from a bygone era…

I just think Jose is cut more from the old school style of management and isn’t willing to tolerate the snow-flakery that exists in modern day football. PEH was a classic Jose signing, a real man only interested in playing football, helping the team and no off-field distractions. He’s a winner in the making. Son and Kane are cut form the same cloth as Terry, Lampard, Makele, Essien, Matterazi and It’s no surprise that Jose seemed to have a kinship with them, two world class players dedicated to their profession. No falling out of nightclubs or personalised emoji ranges to promote. I think unfortunately for Jose at Man and now Spurs he has encountered a bunch of spineless mercenaries who throw their toys out of the pram with the slightest bit of criticism. I don’t think Fergie would last 6 months in todays environment.

The only reason Mourinho has ever been successful is because he is a cheque book manager. Many of us could see that when he came to Spurs and had Scrooge McTightface as chairman that would all come to an end. Take away his ability to buy the best players and he becomes just an ordinary manager, worse in fact as his massive ego just alienates the players.

Jose’s management reigns have a familiar ring to it , normally early success followed by implosion resulting in a palpable discord as someone at Chelsea described it. Sadly at Spurs we seemed to get only the latter.
I am not condoning the conduct of disaffected players celebrating his dismissal but recent events at Spurs mirror the end of his time both at Chelsea and United. Clearly their boards didn’t back him when push came to shove.

Sacking Jose was a massive mistake. Levy should have backed the manager and shifted out the waster players. Nothing is going to change until they are shipped out. No manager will make any difference. Levy should have supported the manager that had the character and force of will to win the clash with the wasters.

So a bunch of players who together have not won a fraction of what Jose has on his own celebrated when they heard he’d been sacked. Exactly why Levy should have backed Jose – and let the pampered pussies in the squad know they either need to play for the team in the way the team needs, or get lost.

In any organisation you’ll find people who gather around the water cooler or outside the smoking shed and gripe and moan about the management. The trick is to work out which ones are worth listening to as valid concerns, and who are just time wasters and work dodgers.

I’d pretty much bet you’d have been able to find someone who could complain about Bill Nick!

Social media just gives them the opportunity to more publicly vent their spleen.
