Dominic Solanke has given Tottenham the lead with a delightful finish over Emiliano Martinez.

Ben Davies does brilliantly to win back possession as the ball is transitioned in a Spurs attack.

Dejan Kulusevski plays in a superb though ball for Solanke who chips the goalkeeper confidently.

It is a lovely turn around at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Watch the goal below:

Glenn Murray covering the game for BBC Live commented on the goal, praising the former Bournemouth man’s top class finish, saying:

“A lot has been said about Dominic Solanke, but that’s a top-class finish. It is cool and calm. That’s what you want from your number nine.”

Solanke scored again 4 minutes later, this time a simple finish from close range after another quick break from the home side. Sarr played in Richarlison on the left who unselfishly passed it across the goal for the arriving Solanke to tap it in.

Tottenham went a goal down in the first half when Morgan Rogers gave Villa the lead from the corner.

But they came out in the second half a completely different team, looking much more threatening.

They soon got their equaliser through Brennan Johnson’ who finished off Heung-min Son’s fantastic assist from close range before Solanke’s quick brace in the 75th and 79th minute.

Solanke joined Spurs from Bournemouth in a big-money summer move after notching 21 goals across all competitions for the Cherries last season — including 19 in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old initially endured a slow start to life in north London, disrupted by a minor ankle injury.

However, he appears to be hitting his stride now, with the brace against Villa taking his tally to four goals and an assist in eight games in the Premier League.
