Watch The Entire Juve Victory In HD Video

My sincere thanks to Urbane Sturgeon for the linkage.

Here’s the first half against Juventus.

Here’s the second half against Juventus.

Remarkably a great game. Not because we won, but because we actually learned a few things.

Oliver Skipp has a future.

Tanguy NDombele look like he was worth the money.

Our man Marbella Spur provided a superb summary: Kane looks like he has lost a stone apart from his incredible goal.

Lamela looked fit and ready for a new season. KWP looks good going forward but weak defensively, Skipp was very impressive and Parrot promising.

Alli should learn how to kick a football with his left foot and was his normal waste of space.

NDombele gave a good cameo and Moura was red-hot, I think he will be great next season.

HH positive …again? Not really a shocking outcome. The club took a few moments out from being a Shopping Centre proprietor and backed the manager.

They backed the manager? One signing? Are you trolling us, H?

No backup to Kane. No replacement for Trips. Only managing to keep hold of Eriksen because Madrid spunked 300M on Hazard, Jovic, Militao, Mendy, and Rodrygo and can’t manage to offload Bale. Meanwhile, over at Juve, they spent 172M and managed to get Rabiot, Ramsey in on free transfers on top of that. And we’re over here, once again without players in early enough so they can have a full preseason under Poch, with a real possibility we have no further signings and giant gaping holes at fullback/wingback.

Forgive me if I don’t pat the miserly bald midget on the head just quite yet, one signing does not a successful window make.

Kind words Mr H. I also thought we played at a much better pace despite the heat. We often looked crablike last season, similar to AVB tactics. Much as I dislike Levy, I still believe that there will be more incomings. I don’t believe that both he and Poch are stupid enough to think that the current squad is strong enough, particularly at the back as mentioned below.

I don’t trust Lamela enough so I would argue we definitely need Lo Celso in as extra creative cover as we still lacked that at times..I think Parrot could be our number 2 with Son and Lucas as back up when Kane is out so I’d rather Levy put resources in getting Jan & Toby on new contracts, Toby is un-replaceable…

Bit harsh on Walker Peters. He looks like he needs to bulk up a bit, but overall he defended well. Ref let them get away with barging him over a couple of times. Equally generous to Lamela. He is fit, but that is the minimum requirement. I didn’t see anything to suggest he is going to be any more influential than in previous seasons. We should sell him if we can.

Well, I’ve just watched the whole game thanks to the links, and it has cheered me up immensely. We have damned good players, yes it was a friendly, but you can feel the desire to win at last that has been so absent on a wet Monday in Burnley. Dare I say it, but the future is looking good, and if we can get Lo Celso, Ceballos and Sesse, then I think we are on the cusp of a load of trophies, and I haven’t said that for 30 years
