Pape Matar Sarr has emerged as a standout performer for Tottenham this season.
He is currently enjoying his breakthrough season at the club under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
The 21-year-old midfielder has quickly become a vital component of Postecoglou’s setup, earning a regular spot in the starting line-up alongside Yves Bissouma ahead of the likes of Hojbjerg and Skipp.
The Australian manager expressed immediate confidence in Sarr, a decision that has proven fruitful.
He scored the opener in his last game for Spurs during their 3-1 win against Bournemouth before he travelled for the AFCON.
And he seems to have taken his brilliant form with him, as he displayed a solid performance against Cameroon during their 3-1 win earlier today.
He was involved in the goals for Senegal with his brilliant interception ended up assisting Ismaila Sarr’s opening goal.
