This entire game had been dogged in the build-up by the press and unworldly fans cracking ‘jokes’ about a Premier League club effectively throwing a game, to help prevent a third side from winning the division.
Inevitably, some fans fed on this nonsense and Ange Postecoglou lost control and snapped.
I don’t blame him, one would expect fans who sat behind him at a home game to be supportive and not manipulated by the press.
It’s not quite possible to grasp what was actually said, but the fan got a flea in his ear.
