Video: It’s the Nike Stadium

By The Boy -

Two debauched looking potatoes (Richard Keys and Andy Gray) have announced ‘as an exclusive’ that the The Shopping Centre will be called the Nike Stadium.

Big day in North London as we hear more news about @SpursOfficial‘s new stadium including it’s official name…#KeysandGray pic.twitter.com/58slhulsRY— beIN SPORTS (@beINSPORTS) March 8, 2019

It’s a bold call from the disgraced former Sky men, but one that may makes sense given Daniel Levy’s ever decreasing options.

The securing of Naming Rights was outsourced, then brought back in-house, and the last we heard was that HSBC declined the offer.

What will be interesting, is to see what the deal widely touted at £200million, eventually went for.

Until they change the seat it will always be White Hart Lav to me. Even if 200 mil over 10 years is low (and accurate), if it removes a third ish off the stadium cost it’s surely not to be sniffed at.

I had no idea this was a thing, and partly lies behind the legal challenge to man shitty’s current financial fair play issues.

It’s a really narrow sector.

That sector gets even narrower when you have a reputation for not winning stuff.

How can you charge £200million for stadium naming rights when you can only charge a third of what CFC get for a kit deal?

It’s nuts.

This could be a shorter term deal for a few years to rake in a few shekels as nothing else is currently on offer?

The fact it’s still called the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at this stage shows that Levy’s ambitions over the naming may have been a little optimistic. Never one to back down over anything to do with pennies, Baldy has clearly backed himself and the club into a corner over this.

Levy: “I’d rather eat my own shit than take any less than 200m to put a signage with your fackin’ name on it son!!”

The equivalent to eating his own poo may now be a short term naming deal the manufacturer of our horrible football kits founded in Oregon…

Stupid cunt.

Bar these 2 narcissist I cant find a single report that confirms it. I wouldn’t be shocked if they saw a nike advert at the ground and put 2 and 2 together and made 5.

Not saying its defo not true, but you would have thought the bald one would have wanted an open top bus to announce this considering he basically got paper columns to announce we had a an official toilet supplier.

Nike stadium is not a bad thing…at least its sports related. £200m is a bit cheap though. I think Levy may have some explaining to do that he cant get an NFL and PL stadium a better deal, what is he being paid for?

You and me both know its because there is no money in it anymore, and sponsors have realised that you don’t buy their product because a stadium is named after them. Personally in the world of the internet and online shopping/price comparisons I waiting for the penny to drop amoungst big firms that this type of advertising is not as useful as 5 stars on yelp (or Tripadvisor, or Amazon…)
