(Video) Fabrizio Romano provides the latest on Tottenham’s interest in Inter defender Milan Škriniar

Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve its backline, and one of the long-shot targets that the English club has on its target list is Inter Milan’s Milan Škriniar.

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano appeared on Matt Hayes YouTube channel to discuss the latest rumors regarding Tottenham. One point of discussion was Škriniar and what it would take to land the 26-year-old.

Inter Milan doesn’t want to sell, but with their financial situation, they’ll deal for a specific price.

“Paratici always loved the player since he was at another club here in Italy, Sampdoria, before joining Inter, and Paratici has always been looking at this player. Tottenham, as you know, also last summer wanted him and were trying to sign him,” Romano said.

“So he’s always been on the radar, but I’m told that it will be really, really difficult, also because Inter is not accepting €40-million or €45-million. They were negotiating around €50-million as [his] price tag last summer, but now Skriniar has a different value also because his season with Inter with Antonio Conte was fantastic. So, that’s why they are not negotiating for €40-million or €45-million – so I think it will be really, really difficult.”
