Minus Hugo Lloris’ these instinctive actions from Hugo Lloris, then Tottenham could have been ought of the game with the first few minutes of this clash. Southampton started far more brightly, and it is not unfair to suggest that this Spurs lot might well have caved had the task been greater to rectify than just the goal deficit.
As we start to go through the bare bones of the game, it will be crucial to establish who did what and how the sweet release from the clutches of the Portuguese Pulis improved us. Maybe it’s early days, and we’ll see the real new and improved Spurs against Manchester City!
That I think Ddoris is still a fine keeper aside, am I the only one who saw the first shot as just above the keeper’s head and so a simple bread & butter save, followed by a shot right at him as he spread himself?
Snowflakes though mate, un-coachable!
I think without Kane and an interim coach, that was a fairly decent result all told. Is there any really anything to be gained by picking it apart more than it needs to be?
For a side often criticised for its fragility it made a pleasant change to come back and win a game that could well have lost by half time.
We can pick holes, but after the way things have gone in recent months, I think the players can take some credit for that performance that turned a loss into a win. First time this season to do that, so well done to everyone.
