This is less a stick to beat Harry Winks with, more an appreciation of Giovani Lo Celso, but it inevitably cuts both ways…
Red Bull Leipzig, Manchester United or West Ham, they’re all the same to the masterful Argentinian.

Against United, Giovani emerged from the bench and added a genuine bounce to Tottenham’s play, drawing 4 fouls.

Against West Ham Lo Celso managed to combine the high passing accuracy one might expect from Winks (88.5%) whilst producing far more of a threat in the middle third, making 46/47 successful passes.
The Hammers watch the 23-year-old create 3 chances and recover the ball 15 times, drawing 2 fouls.
I already prefer Skipp.
He ain’t got it anywhere in him to emulate celly. Celly is a natural born baller, winks aint
Eze e QPR🌚👍
Oh yeah. Forgot about that.
We’re only allowed 17 non “homegrown” players in our squad. Question is, can we replace with a better homegrown player?
Cash in on him I say. Bottom half club player.
I believe Winks is technically good enough with the ball to do this kind of thing, it’s just that for some reason he doesn’t. Frustrating player to watch sometimes. He’s behind Lo Celso in every department
Winks should not be starting but he’s a useful player to have in the squad. He should be making every effort to emulate what Lo Celso is doing. That’s the mould for him.
