Video Evidence: Oliver Skipp’s Best Actions Against Wycombe

By The Boy -

Another day and another tick against the name of Oliver Skipp whilst on loan at Norwich City. The 19-year-old is clearly developing his confidence and becoming an interesting footballer. The end of this season will be fascinating to see what Tottenham decided to do with him. There’s a gulf between the two divisions, but I’m beginning to feel convinced that he’s enough about him.

This was one hell of a long ball, Glenn Hoddle on steroids!

Cracking play here from Skipp. Takes control of a potentially dangerous/messy situation, moves the ball out, and then tales the foul.

Haven’t seen to much myself, but glympses show another tidy player who is obviously gaining confidence by being trusted to play on a regular basis. As you say we’ve seen enough tidy players coming through our ranks and it’s just not enough.
However there is a huge difference from the PL and would he retain this confidence if he was only used sparingly again once he returns.I would hope he is able to make the transition.

I have watched a lot of Norwich games this season because of Skippy, and from what I have seen he is not strong enough defensively nor creative enough offensively for a top 4 Prem side. I wouldn’t pin too much hope on him. Carroll / Mason / Winks all over again I’m afraid.
