Tanguy Ndombele drew 4 fouls from Dinamo Zagreb last night, 2 in the first half and 2 in the second. That was in addition to the obvious penalty that the referee managed to wholesale ignore. That incident to one side, it’s worth pointing out at this stage to some fans who might still hanker for Jack Grealish, that Tanguy ticks an awful lot of that young Brummie’s boxes. Whilst they are different players, Tanguy achieves comparable success in some of the same disciplines.

There are signs Ndombele is building up that arrogance and single mindedness that Grealish has – that time he tried to muscle through four players last night was immense. He looked upset it didn’t work when it had no right to…but it nearly worked.
